England call Rooney, Lambert

Wayne Rooney and Rickie Lambert have been named in the England squad for next week's friendly against Scotland.
Southampton striker Lambert has won an international call-up for the first time in the absence of forwards including Andy Carroll and Daniel Sturridge.
And Rooney is included despite missing all of Manchester United's pre-season fixtures because of hamstring and shoulder injuries.
Roy Hodgson spoke to David Moyes before naming Rooney and does not expect the striker to play a full 90 minutes.
He told Sky Sports News: "Obviously he is not fully match fit, but the important thing for me was to have him in the squad and assess how many minutes he can play. We will have to see and assess him when we meet up.
"And Wayne of course wants to be part of the England set-up coming into these important qualification games.
"So we just have to accept that it might not be ideal that he hasn't played the minutes we would have liked in pre-season but it is very good he is able to join and be able to play the minutes we think he can play."
Lambert's selection, meanwhile, marks the latest development in the rise of a player who did not feature in the top division until last season.
Hodgson revealed he considered signing the 31-year-old from Bristol Rovers when he was Fulham manager and said: "I think that this is a man that has come up the hard way.
"I think if any man has really worked hard to prove his worth over the years it is Rickie Lambert, and he fully deserves his call-up at a time when a couple of people ahead of him in Daniel Sturridge and Andy Carroll are not available."
There were concerns, too, over the fitness of Jermain Defoe, but the Tottenham striker makes the squad despite limping out of Saturday's friendly against Monaco.
Elsewhere, Wilfried Zaha is promoted from this summer's U21 squad after impressing in pre-season for United and is one of eight Old Trafford players in Roy Hodgson's group of 25.
England squad: Foster, Hart, Ruddy, Baines, Cahill, Cole, Jagielka, Johnson, Jones, Smalling, Walker, Carrick, Cleverley, Gerrard, Lampard, Wilshere, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Young, Zaha, Defoe, Rooney, Welbeck, Lambert.
